Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness

Introduction

The curriculum of this program integrates science, agriculture and food technology together with business management to produce graduates for the agribusiness industry at the level of farm production to that of the consumer.� Aspects of agricultural science and technology are covered in the curriculum under crop science, post harvest technology and animal science while those in business management are found under management, marketing, finance and accounting.

Career Opportunities

Graduates from this program may work in the agribusiness industry in the areas of planning, processing and marketing, areas quality assurance officers in agro-based industries, as uniform-body officers (customs enforcement, health, police), bank officers, educators, R&D officers or entrepreneurs.

Admission Requirements

  • A minimum C Grade at GCE Ordinary (O) in any two (2)
  • subjects chosen from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/Additional Mathematics.
  • Credits at GCE Advanced (A) level in:
    • Mathematics/Additional Mathematics
    • One (1) Science subject
    • Two (2) other subjects
