Agricultural Children’s Programme Provides Early Exposure to Agriculture for 138 Naluri Kreatif Children

SERDANG, 29 July 2026 – A total of 138 children aged between four and six from Naluri Kreatif participated in the Agricultural Children’s Programme held on 28 and 29 July 2026. The programme aimed to introduce children to the world of modern agriculture and livestock farming through interactive learning approaches and hands-on experiences.

The programme began with a visit to the Plant Factory, where participants were introduced to modern agricultural technologies that utilise controlled-environment systems to produce high-quality crops. The children were exposed to the importance of innovation and technology in ensuring sustainable food production.

The participants then visited the Organic Farm to learn about environmentally friendly organic farming practices. During the activity, they had the opportunity to experience sowing seeds first-hand, fostering an interest in gardening and crop cultivation from an early age. This hands-on activity provided an enjoyable learning experience while enhancing their understanding of the plant growth process.

The programme continued with a visit to the Livestock Farm, where participants had the opportunity to interact closely with farm animals such as laying hens, goats and cattle. The children were also given the opportunity to feed the animals, enabling them to learn the basics of animal care and appreciate the importance of the livestock sector in contributing to the nation’s food supply.

Throughout the two-day programme, the participants demonstrated great enthusiasm and excitement in every activity. This experiential learning approach successfully made the learning process more enjoyable and accessible to the children.

The Agricultural Children’s Programme not only provided early exposure to the fields of agriculture and livestock farming, but also instilled a sense of appreciation for the environment, nurtured a sense of responsibility, and enhanced awareness of the importance of food security and sustainable agriculture. It is hoped that programmes of this nature will nurture a younger generation that appreciates the agri-food sector and is inspired to explore agriculture as a potential career path in the future.
