Joint Workshop 2026: Guide for Conducting Soil Tests, Plant Analysis and Fertilizer Components at Lecture Hall 1 (DK1), Faculty of Agriculture, UPM.

The three-day workshop was organised under the CEO@PTJ programme, which aims to strengthen strategic engagement and collaboration between the university and industry. Mr Lau Choon Xian, Managing Director of Twin Arrow Fertilizer Sdn. Bhd., was appointed as the CEO@PTJ for the Faculty of Agriculture for the 2025–2026 session.
The workshop provided a strategic platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, perspectives and industry expertise in key areas including soil science, plant analysis and fertiliser technology. The initiative also served to strengthen linkages between academic knowledge and industry practices, particularly in addressing current and emerging challenges in agricultural production and soil management.

The knowledge-sharing and technical sessions were jointly delivered by experts and speakers from the Faculty of Agriculture, UPM, and Twin Arrow Fertilizer Sdn. Bhd. The sessions covered both theoretical and practical aspects of soil testing, plant analysis and fertiliser components, providing participants with valuable insights into the application of scientific principles in agricultural and industrial settings.

In addition to classroom-based lectures and discussions, participants were given practical exposure through visits to UPM’s research laboratory facilities, as well as the laboratory and processing plant operated by Twin Arrow Fertilizer Sdn.
