Gerhardt-UPM Bi-Annual Seminar 2026 Brings Together More Than 200 Participants Nationwide

SERDANG, 21 May 2026 – Gerhardt Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., in collaboration with the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organised the Gerhardt-UPM Bi-Annual Seminar 2026 at the Rashdan Baba Auditorium, UPM. The seminar attracted more than 200 participants, comprising academics, researchers, students, technical officers, and industry representatives from various states across Malaysia.

The seminar served as an important platform for the exchange of knowledge, technology, and best practices in the fields of food analysis, animal nutrition, food safety, and laboratory technology. The programme commenced with a welcoming address by the Director of Gerhardt Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Jonathan Lee, followed by a series of technical presentations delivered by experts from higher education institutions, technology companies, and leading analytical laboratories. Among the presenters representing the Faculty of Agriculture, UPM were Dr. Nazri Nayan and Chm. Ku Mohamed Asyraf Ku Ahmad.

In addition to the presentation sessions, participants had the opportunity to visit exhibition booths and poster presentation displays featuring contributions from various universities and companies. These activities provided valuable opportunities for professional networking and strengthened collaboration between academia and industry.

The successful organisation of the seminar reflects the continued commitment of Gerhardt Malaysia and the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, UPM, towards advancing research culture, technology transfer, and knowledge dissemination for the benefit of industry and society. The strong participation from across the country also highlights the growing interest in modern analytical technologies that support the development of Malaysia’s agriculture, food, and livestock sectors.
